Tristan Properties Ltd. recently selected KEE Environmental Ltd to design and install a new paper trim extraction system to serve their animal bedding plant in Northern Ireland.

KEE were asked to design a system to provide effective extraction from an Ulster shredder unit which was shredding news paper.

The shredder paper was to be baled and bagged for sale as horse bedding.

To improve the quality of the bedding, the shredded paper needed to be further broken down and a large percentage of the dust needed to be removed.

In order to keep the capital cost of the project to a minimum, KEE were asked to select all of the major system components from their extensive range of second hand equipment.

KEE provided a purpose designed shredder collection hopper, a centralised / balanced ductwork system, waste separator (with integral dust removal feature), rotary air lock and main extraction / chopping fan.

Upon completion, the system was balanced and commissioned.

As with all KEE extraction systems, the system was supplied with a twelve month guarantee.
