Assistcor Packaging Ltd recently selected KEE Environmental Ltd to design and install a new dust extraction system to serve a new Cuir machine at their Andover factory.
The discharge air from the integral hold down fans on the machine contained small particles of dust which were causing issues with the print quality.
KEE were tasked with finding an efficient and low cost solution to the problem.
KEE installed new canopy hood and strip curtain assemblies above the machine to effectively capture the dusty air as it was discharged from the top of the Cuir machine.
Two new extraction ductwork lines were installed at high level to convey the captured discharge air to atmosphere.
Two KEE axial flow fans provided the motive air for the system.
The installation was planned to fit in with the factory production schedule and completed over four days.
